This summer has been a real roller coaster ride. Lots of wonderful things and events and people as well as lots I’m still processing. I have worked in my studio throughout but have not kept up with the internet as I should have. The one thing I have done is recommend my friend Kathy’s fancy fun friday regarding depression glass. We just got back from the southwest. Boy can they produce hot there. Zion National park and Bryce National park are both amazing. And I arrived home to the smiling faces of more frogs!

Good heavens I feel like a potter!! I’ve actually worked in the studio and have even accomplished things. Now it’s up to the kiln god to see if any creations make it through the first firing. Don’t want to put pictures up and tempt fate before they are complete.

I had dinner with my friend CatLady Kate and her husband last night and I found out she is not only an internet guru with her glass, she is a sought after speaker and a published author in her field. I’ve been taking a break from studio work to catch up on other stuff. Starting back in the studio today, so not exactly have lots of new stuff to show. However, my garden looks great and I’ve been cleaning out cupboards and closets. It is amazing the things we think we need to keep. Thought I’d show you a quiet pair of my friends.

Wow, not really unhappy May is coming to an end, and no I don’t mean end of the world end. Had some nice times with family but the rest has been a bit of a roller coaster. I will start work in the studio again next week – had to take a break to save my sanity. (I think it worked) But my gardens and flowers look terrific – as long as they don’t drown.

April did not turn out to be my favorite month. So I’ve decided to work on my lifestyle. Get rid of some of the stress and take more time for the things I enjoy (making frogs and bike riding). Meantime I’m sure I’ll find plenty to keep busy.
